Ribbon, Ribbon & Scrap Dots

Happy Tuesday Ladies! I hope everyone is having a good start to their week. Monday's are always a catch up day for me, so I really do welcome Tuesdays. And speaking of catching up, I've had almost no time to craft this last week, and I'm missing my Cricut. I've decided to unload a large part of my ribbon collection on Etsy because I really want to make room for more paper. I've been super busy sorting, measuring, rolling and bagging ribbon that I'm ready to part with and it feels great. It's really started my creative juices flowing and thinking about new projects that I'd like to work on. So if you're in the market for any ribbon, please feel free to visit my Etsy store ;)

Now back to the crafts.... Before I started working on clearing out my ribbon, I was working on some new tags. The tags below are the first set I've made, and I really enjoyed the process of just creating and allowing myself to get messy ;)

I used Tim Holtz Distress inks along with Versa Mark on the tags. I also used Helmar Scrap Dots, which are Amazing, they hold super strong and still give dimension. Along with the Scrap Dots, I also used Helmar 450 on the other tags to glue the feather and the flowers on. I hope you like them, I have a feeling there will be lots more to come ;) Thank you so much for spending some of your day here, and until next time.... Continue to Create A Crafty Life.

Pink & Feminine Blog Hop .....

Happy Tuesday Ladies! If you got here from Martha, you're in the right place, if not head back over to the begining of the hop with Zoe. I'm so excited that I'm participating in the "Pink & Feminine" blog hop today. This is my very first hop and it's being hosted by Zoe over at CraftyX. There are so many talented ladies in the line up and I know you will see some amazing projects along the way.

When I think of "feminine", one of the first things that comes my to mind are shoes. What girl doesn't love a great pair of shoes???? I wanted create a card that would be fun & wild so after a little bling and some animial prints, this is what I came up with:

I used the Forever Young cartridge and my Cuttlebug for the embossing. I finished off the card with a tiny flower, a few rhinestones and of course a feather. I've been on a feather kick for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving them. I think they add just a little more of a feminine touch to everything.

Thank you so much for coming by my first blog hop post, I really appreciate you stopping by. You next stop is Sandra and I'm sure you're going to love what she's created. Until next time ladies, I hope you have a great week and.... Continue to Create A Crafty Life ~

Support The Girls

Happy Thursday Ladies!!! It's been a few days since I posted, and I have been a busy bee. I posted on Facebook yesterday about me being a craft hoarder, and well.... it's true. I'm a frugal crafter so when I see a good deal I usually buy more than I should which really means I buy more than I need. I figure that I'll use the supplies sometime, but that sometime doesn't always roll around.

So a couple of years ago I bought a 8x8 cardstock stack from Michael's that I happend to pack away in my craft storage area. When I found it a couple of weeks ago I told myself that I should have bought the 12x12 stack. I searched high & low on the internet to see if I could locate the 12x12 stack, but with no luck. I found an ad online that a lady had posted sometime last year trying to sell the same stack and I contacted her to see if she still had the paper even though the ad was over 6 months old. She did reply to me that she would check, but I never heard back from her. I was a little bummed, but I figured it wasn't in the cards for me to own this beautiful stack. Fast forward to yesterday, I pulled out another box of supplies and low & behold guess what I found..... YES I already purchased the 12x12 stack and I didn't rememeber even having it.

It's sad to say, but this is not a rare occurrence for me at all. Since I like to craft so many different things, I have a lot of random supplies that I just forget about. When I open a box or a cabinet in my craft area it's like Christmas because I really do forget what I've purchased. With that said, once my back is healed I will be cleaning out all my supplies and really figuring out what I have and whatever I don't need will be going up for sale. Whew... I feel better admitting that I have a problem, well I have more than one problem but we will deal with one at a time.

Ok, so now onto my newest project. A few weeks ago Michael's was having a sale on clearance cardstock 7 for $1. I was able to pick up a bunch of the pink Breast Cancer Awareness paper which I was so excited about. My mother has breast cancer so this project is in honor of her:

It's a 4x4 journal that I made from coasters and covered with the breast cancer awareness paper. I added some ribbon & bling and I punched out a scallop circle and stamped the sentiment. I finished it off with my new Bind It All which I love! Sorry the picture isn't great, but my camera recently broke and all I have right now is my cell phone to take pictures with. Thank you for stopping by and until next time... Continue to Create A Crafty Life ~

Irish Luck ....

Can you believe that we are already in March??? This month is bitter sweet for me because my "baby" is turning 16 this month which means he will be driving!!!! OMG, really... because I remember like it was just yesterday changing his diapers and fixing his bottles ;(

Well we all know what March brings..... St. Patrick's Day and all things green. I've created a card to enter into Crafting With Cristina St. Patty's Day theme challenge and the only requirements are that it follow the theme and be green so here you go:

I used the Simply Charmed cartridge and instead of adding the "gold pieces" layer on the rainbow I used glitter glue cause you know I love all things sparkly! I added googly eyes to the leprechaun and I also used an Action Wobble which I thinks just adds so much personality to the card. I finished it off with a green feather because I'm really loving feathers right now ;) I hope this month bring you all lots of luck and until next time.... Continue to Create A Crafty Life ~

Shoes In Every Color....

Happy Wednesday Ladies! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week! I've done a little shopping online and the goodies have started rolling in :) I picked up some stamps this last week that I've finally had time to play with and can I just say that I love them! I bought the Fiskars "Girls night Out" stamp set and they are Adorable! I really have a thing for shoes in my everyday life, so when I found this set it was really a Must Have!!!

Sorry for the bad picture, but I kept getting a glare :(

And here is what I came up with while playing with these stamps for the first time:

I stamped the shoes & the sentiment then embossed them. I added a little color to the edges and added some ribbon, Martha Stewart micro beads and topped it off with a feather and a little bling. I love the colors together and I think the zebra print adds a little attitude. Really loving this set and I have a lot of fun ideas that I can't wait to try :) I hope you all like and and until next time .... Continue to Create A Crafty Life!
