I hope everyone is having a Great Wednesday! I'm still fighting this cold that I've had for weeks, and the cold is currently winning. I did manage to sneak in a 3 hour nap today and I felt a little better after I woke up, but that didn't last long. I hope you've all been able to keep this never ending cold out of your homes. My entire family has had it, and it seems like it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
Yesterday I was able to get out of the house long enough to pick up some goodies at Michael's so I wanted to play with them today. I made the following card as a sympathy card for a woman who lost her father yesterday.
I used Me & My Big Ideas "Fashion District" paper along with a shiny brown cardstock from my scraps. I bought my first Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad yesterday in the Frayed Burlap color, so I add just a bit of color to the edges of the top layer. I finished off the card with a velvet-like ribbon and a stamped chipboard with a little bling. It's a super simple card but I really love the colors. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you continue to Create A Crafty Life ~

Wacky Wednesday Challenge #26
Happy President's Day! Both of my boys are home from school today and I'm still feeling under the weather, but I wanted to make sure that I joined in on some of the fabulous challenges going on this week. I made the following card for the Wacky Wednesday Challenge #26 over at Paula's blog More Than Favors. The theme this week is weddings and this is what I came up with:
I use Tying The Knot Cartridge along with Crinkles Paper by Wausau Paper and the glittery ribbon came from Michael's. I have to be honest, I'm not in love with this card, but considering I'm on my 3rd week of being sick, I had to be ok with it not being perfect. Thank you ladies for stopping by and I hope that you continue to Create A Crafty Life ~
